Many of the effects and tools save their last used settings, but not
all. Do we want saved settings to be more comprehensive?
Currently there is one common duration setting for "Chirp" and "Tone".
The other generators have their own duration setting. Should Tone and
Chirp save their frequency settings?
The following built in effects do not save their settings:
Personally I find the lack of saved setting for "Repeat" quite
annoying because I use this effect quite often but usually only for
one or 2 repeats.
It would be extremely useful if Nyquist Prompt saved the last used
script (this has also been requested on the forum) but I'm unsure how
best to go about that as it could contain a lot of text.
Leveller does save settings, but there's something wrong. I've not
looked further but there is definitely a bug here.
For most of the others I think it is reasonably clear that they always
I presume that we want the time stretch effects to always default to

I think the purpose those two are used for may be very different
so they should not have a common duration.

I think they should definitely save the type and amplitude
settings. There may be a weak case that they do not save
frequency, but I would still prefer they do save frequency.

I can't see the point in that either, because that means you'll
always have to change the settings on first use in a session.
Personally I would err on the side of all effects saving their
settings, but all effects have a button to perform a one time
reset to their default settings.
