I have ben able to record using Windows 2000 P4 1.5GHz, but there is still
the problem of 8.3 file conversion. If you use "Save As" you can name it as
you want and it will be OK. However it is when you open it again that
Audactiy sees the files name in the 8.3 format. Although it will still place
the data in the Longname format folder it will save the updated project as
the 8.3 name. The third time you open it (Now with the 8.3 name) it will not
find the matching "8.3" folder.
Secondly I tried to perform a noise removal, but as soon as I try to "get
noise profile" it performs an Application Error
[ The exception Floating-point division by zero. ]
[ (0xc000008e) occurred in the application at location 0x00477a82.]
[ Click on OK to terminate the program ]
Another thing. At the moment I can only use the wave plot to see if clipping
is occuring. Is there anyway to add record level indicators to a track? or
even simply a green light (to indicate adequate signal and a red light to
indicate clipping or limiting)
Thanks again for a great program.
