The latest stable release of Audacity does not have a fast forward button like a
media player might.
You can jump to the end of the track by using the >>| button or by pressing end.
If you are not zoomed in very far, you can move the cursor much faster than playback
speed with the right arrow. Or you just click on the point you want with your mouse.
Additionally in the 1.3 Beta, you can input a precise time in text boxes for where
you want the audio to start and finish. Also in the Beta you can enable the
Transcription Toolbar (Preferences > Interface > Show/Hide) and play back up to 3
times normal speed.
