Hi, Scott, a blind and new user of Audacity, asked me about being able to move the cursor in a predictable way through a track or selection - he uses this in sound Forge. Is there a way to incorporate this into Audacity? I assume he means by the 1/128 & 1/256 numbers that this is moving the cursor 1/128 or 1/256 of the way through the track with each left or right cursor key movement. Scott wrote: Okay David what this actually does is jump through the file in chunks small medium a little bigger than medium large or extra small. That what the 256 128 and so on mean. But when they do this they do 1/128 1/256 not sure what that one means. Thanks David |

Hi David, It could certainly be useful to have a user selectable time value for cursor movement. We'd probably need to leave the default as it is now, but just allow for the user option. I'll see what it's gonna take. Leland On Feb 23, 2006, at 12:41 AM, David R.
