I'm using the 1.3.12 beta on a PC running Win XP. I often use Audacity to edit lengthy recordings for audiobooks. It would be very handy to have the current moment of playback centered in the viewport and have the waveform view scroll continuously as the recording plays. Then, when I wish to edit a mistake (by deletion), the offending bit will still be onscreen if I've made the window wide enough.  Under the current interface, a high percentage of the time the part that needs deleting is at a "page boundary" and the screen jumps ahead, making it difficult to find the exact point of the mistake.

Since I perform this activity hours a day, the incremental gain in productivity would be significant. Any chance of adding this behavior to the interface options?
