Subject: [Audacity-users] slightly offtopic, how to tell the sample rate in a stream

I am having some problems with TuneIn on my phone, and am thinking about writing them again with some new information. It seems as if stations that stream with 32 or 48 kbps AAC have the most problems, though I have had some problems with 64 k streams as well, and there are some 32 k streams that work fine, so I am wondering if it is something with the sample rate. However, I do not know how to see this in most media players, and the one I do know how to see it in does not support AAC. How can I do this? I am running Windows Media Player 11 if this helps.
