This should now have been completed. All new commits will be made to SVN - not CVS. New repository is available at : svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/aubit4gl/aubit4gl_code/ aubit4gl this contains all the aubit4gl code If you only want the aubit4gl compiler (which is probably the case)- you should check out with something like: svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/aubit4gl/aubit4gl_code/aubit4glsrc/trunk aubit4glsrc On 25 October 2017 at 21:18, Mike Aubury <mi...@au...> wrote: > Just a quick heads up that Sourceforge are decommissioning CVS on their > servers and so we are currently in the process of migrating all our code > base over to SVN. > > We've had some code in SVN before - notably the Ventas Desktop Client and > the other GUI frontends (which have not been updated since the VDC became > the "standard"), but in order to have all the code in a single repository - > we'll need to import these too and so the URL for these will change too.. > > > > I'll post again when the migration is complete. > |

Just a quick heads up that Sourceforge are decommissioning CVS on their servers and so we are currently in the process of migrating all our code base over to SVN. We've had some code in SVN before - notably the Ventas Desktop Client and the other GUI frontends (which have not been updated since the VDC became the "standard"), but in order to have all the code in a single repository - we'll need to import these too and so the URL for these will change too.. I'll post again when the migration is complete. |

You should really send this to aubit4gl-discuss rather then developers, this list is meant for the development *of* aubit4gl - rather than using it! Try $ aubit-config -verbose A4GL_SQLTYPE and it should tell you where its getting its A4GL_SQLTYPE setting from On 18 October 2016 at 21:27, Brett Hand <bh...@no...> wrote: > Hello, > > > > I have a scenario in which the “aubit 4glc” (or 4glpc) program is not > connecting to a Postgres database when it is used during the compilation of > a 4gl program. Hello, I have a scenario in which the "aubit 4glc" (or 4glpc) program is not connecting to a Postgres database when it is used during the compilation of a 4gl program. I suspect that the compiler is still trying to use the wrong connection type (i.e: wrong value for A4GL_SQLTYPE). The value in /etc/opt/aubit4gl/aubitrc is "pg8" for A4GL_SQLTYPE, yet the aubit-config program claims it is unixodbc. I should note that this field USED to actually be unixodbc in the aubitrc file, so it is not a totally random value. I have been attempting to make aubit4gl adapt to our postgres environment for some time now and still have some extraneous values laying around. My question is. is "aubit 4glc" using the values in aubit-config -a for compilation? If so, how do I change the aubit-config to reflect what is actually in /etc/opt/aubit4gl/aubitrc? If the answer is the configurator program.... Shit. Because that isn't working at the moment either. CONFIDENTIAL NOTICE : If you have received this email in error, please immediately notify the sender by email at the address shown above. 4glpc is just a 4gl program (tools/4glpc) - you can edit it if you need to add things like that. But - 4glpc *should* read a "A4GL_C_OPTS" environment variable - so you could try putting your -m32 in that ? We are currently trying to compile the latest aubit4glsrc on a CentOS 7 64 bit machine as complete 32 bit code. The necessary adjustments have been made in terms of adding appropriate flags to the gcc compiler and what not. The problem is that we have the following output: ........... 4glpc -t -c -o pick78.afr.ao pick78.afr.c gcc -shared -m32 -m32 -g -fPIC -DPIC -DSRC_TREE -DDEBUG -DHAVE_CONFIG_H= -I/home/bhand/src/CoreC/Main/new_aubit/aubit4glsrc/incl -I/home/bhand/src/CoreC/Main/new_aubit/aubit4glsrc -fPIC -DPIC -o /home/bhand/src/CoreC/Main/new_aubit/aubit4glsrc/plugins-1.2_39/libA4GL_pick.so pick_local.o pick10.afr.ao pick20.afr.ao pick38.afr.ao pick78.afr.ao -L../../../lib -laubit4gl-1.2_39 /bin/ld: i386:x86-64 architecture of input file `pick10.afr.ao' is incompatible with i386 output /bin/ld: i386:x86-64 architecture of input file `pick20.afr.ao' is incompatible with i386 output /bin/ld: i386:x86-64 architecture of input file `pick38.afr.ao' is incompatible with i386 output /bin/ld: i386:x86-64 architecture of input file `pick78.afr.ao' is incompatible with i386 output The issue seems to be the 4glpc statement. The 4glpc is a 32 bit executable, and we have specified in the configure script that host, build, and target (and several variations of these) are to be i686 instead of x86_64. For all intents and purposes, this is a 32 bit machine. I don't understand why it is still producing 64 bit objects. Something is still telling the 4glpc compiler that it is on a 64 bit platform. I guess my question is....is there any "-m32" equivalent for the 4glpc compiler? |

Without seeing the code thats generating the error - I cant help fixing it. Try running under gdb, or valgrind. Or put in numerous 'display' statements and see if you can narrow it down to a few lines of code.. If you can replicate the problem - theres a good chance it can be fixed.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=405150&aid=1689105&group_id=32409 |

(Either grab the whole thing - or just download the revised makefile) Alternatively - as its only in the HL_TUI (which you probably wont use) - try a 'make -k'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=405150&aid=3104386&group_id=32409 |
