I have a number of properties that I generally prefer to have local rather than inherited. This allows me to try alternative scenarios without altering a base representation. For example, I generally set viewLayout, viewColor, viewSize, viewLabel, viewShape, viewMetric, and viewSelection as local properties. The only way I know to do this is copy an inherited property to one with an identical name. That forces it to be local.
As an example, I am exploring a number of ways to cluster and lay out a subset of a graph. I can create a clone for each combination of alternatives that I am examining, but then have to set the properties listed above by copying them in each of the sub graphs before I actually try the different alternatives.
Is there any place I can set this in the base parameters in 4.1?
Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated!
