There's currently a discussion at the atariarea forum about tiny vertical stripes between luminace levels 7 and 8, and sub-pixel effects of changing color registers. The emulator would need a higher resolution and more computing power for these artifacts. But we will need to support the current 336x240 mode (and screenshots), so palette files are needed, even if the future is full NTSC and PAL emulation. Piotr |
