I've loaded a model with assimp, no problem so far. But now i need the world matrix of my model. I just have no idea where to get that from. Can someone pleae help me out with that?

Look into the ths aiNode. This holds the transformation of the current node. The example SimpleOpenGL shows you how you have to apply these matrices for OpenGL.
