I am using MinGW and the MSYS shell to cross-compile assimp for Windows. I ran everything from within /bin/sh using MSYS Makefiles, and everything proceeded smoothly. But it ended up producing a shared library (.dll) instead of the static library (.a) i wish to use. Is there any way to compile staticly?
You can use -DASSIMP_BUILD_STATIC_LIB=ON in the cmake command to generate your makefiles.
With best regards,
