As we have made great progress toward "practical useability" as
measured by the standard we use for it: the number of failing Maxima
Over the past few weeks, issues have been resolved with respect to
- special variable binding scope
- calculation with complex values
- increased chances of (small) Fixnums being EQ
- the use of COMPILE within a file being compiled with COMPILE-FILE
The result being that the number of failing Maxima tests has been
reduced from ca 1400 to ca 140. Next to that, a number of issues have
been resolved with the compilation of AP5 (also an "old" code base).
Given the above, I would like to create an 0.14 release within the
next two weeks.
So, if you have patches or other changes to increase stability or
useability, please submit or commit them. Any patches or
(documentation) donations that I may have forgotten to commit can be
committed after we branch 0.14.
Any testing that can be done until the release to find regressions or
issues is greatly appreciated!
