I'm trying to get the ABCL code, following the directions
on the CVS page for J at
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=55057
I am using the latest version of cygwin on Windows
2000. Here is a transcript.

$ cvs -
d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/arm
edbear-j login
Logging in
to :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:2401/cvsro
ot/armedbear-j
CVS password:

cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from
cvs.sourceforge.net: M PserverBackend::PserverBackend
() Connect (Connection refused)

[There was no carriage return between the hyphen and
the d. For the password, I just hit return.]

Submitting a bug report was suggested by Andras Simon
on comp.lang.lisp (thread "How to do java in lisp ?", Aug
13). The thread shows that more than one person had
trouble with the anonymous login, though they get
different error messages.

I was also not able to use the Web-based browser to
view the source directories.

    This is a problem with the SourceForge project hosting, not
    a bug in the software.
