I had a look at the game last night and today. My first thoughts were: the initial load time of the client and the connection process is extremely slow (if you have anything else running, such as Seti@HOME). The in game play was very nice, the first thing I noticed was a gentle swaying of the long grasses around me. After a while running around, I actually found a building, the University of Architecture, there was nothing else around, very strange. In order to learn Carpentry, I needed 1 Stone Blade (what's that I said) so, off I went to find a Stone Blade. At last, I see someone in the distance, their name is "Sombody" I thoght this to be very silly. When he got right next to me and started talking to me about signing some petition (apperently a quest) his name changed to his real name, and that made me feel better about distances and regognition of things in game. So, I try to sign this petition and the game tells me I need to have a paid account, I suppose I should have tried to find out if this was a free game before hand. Overall, I thought the gameplay and the graphics were quite nice, and smooth. I'm not sure if there was any audio. I didn't like the fact that there was very little around me when I started, and I didn't have the opportunity to customize my character before startinf the game (I think you change some colours in game). For US$13.95 per month, I don't think I will be playing this game much more. The system specs I ran the game on are: P3 1.8 GHz 512 Mb RAM MSI GeForece 4 440 MX 64 Mb video Onboard 6-channel sound Windows 2000 w/ all updates Cable internet - Steve B > I think we can do those graphics as well. :P > No game for me, sounds like a puzzle game... > > SkyFlash > > > > > i found this somewhere in my mailbox :-) i didn't play it and > > don't intend > > to do so (no killing in that game ???) but their screenshots > > are cool :) > > > > A Tale in the Desert > > > > A Tale in the Desert is a massively multiplayer online > > roleplaying game (mmorpg) that has been in development for 4 > > 1/2 years and goes live tomorrow.
