>Also our RP game designer is MIA (miss in accion), but anyway the progress should come
So, I took a vacation, to recover from the changes at my job... (new boss, new team, new mission, double-duty work)
...and used four of the days at the "Breakpoint 2004" Demo-Party (three being there, one to recover from 4 hours of sleep in three days... :)
(the other days I was away with my family)
As I told before, I tried to win some support there ... and failed.
I recognized only three coders to be able to do animations (there were probably more, but I didn't find them), and all of them were *at* *least* involved in two games at the same time.
One of them took part in making .kkrieger... Doom3 in 96 kb (!!!).
(Work took two years, not counting game-dev-experience of the team.)
Makes me wonder, what we can do with our meagre skills... ;-)
But I made valuable contacts, and will try to stay in touch with them. Most interesting were contacts to spanish attendants, perhaps I will visit a spanish demo-party at my holidays in autumn.
Is anyone here living next to Helsinki, by the way? Assembly 2004 should be a goof place to be... most probably I can't visit it for financial reasons, but well, anyone here?
I also showed at BP2004 what we have to some developers with gaming-background, and tried to explain where we want to be going to.
During this presentations I realized, that, in fact, less has changed with Arianne and Gladiators then I always thought. The comments were encouraging in a way that was discouraging.
Well, thruth has its value, hasn't it?
Ok, that's for a start.
