The reference one is 2d yes? I was thinking of looking
into crystal space more, although my first thoughts
were of using SDL for the interface.. i don't know if
the two can be used together, though i doubt it. I
remember reading that SDL has support for openGL, but
that would mean we'd have to write our own engine
A 3D renderer would turn a lot more heads, that's
all... my friends compare this to tribesRPG and
everquest... they just don't understand how this is
going to be sooo much different to them!!

by shortcomings i mean GFX are my weakness, but i'll
have a shot... i read the GFX doc, are there any 3d
modellers out there that are freeware?
