You could make arrows more economical by allowing them a chance to appear on the corpse of the create you shoot. As it is now, it cost more money to buy arrows that what you would get from hunting with a bow.
that sounds like a good idea. Maybe a method can be added which gives you an amount of these arrows back which didn't hit your enemy, combined with a percental chance so that not all can be taken back from the corpse. I'm not a mathematican so I'm not sure if that could work ;)

I would base it off of the amount of ammo that DID hit the enemy. Misses would fly off somewhere in the distance.
Maybe a random number between 0% and 75%.
However this may be a small problem with creatures that drop 4 items.
Personally, I think I would rather just have more ammo drops in the entire game. Seems kind of sparse right now.
