Players who are unhappy with their character's stats could benefit from an NPC that will trade base XP for ATK/DEF XP. Of course there would be a tradeoff, you wouldn't receive 1:1 XP, maybe more like 1:5 or 1:10. So if a player wanted to add 500 DEF XP he/she would have to give up 2500 or 5000 base XP. If there is a concern that it would be too easy to train, then perhaps players could only use the XP they have earned for their current level. Once they have used that up they wouldn't be able to trade anymore until they earned more XP.

I think this would add to the experience of the game and maybe prevent players from quitting prematurely because they are unhappy with their characters and there is nothing they can do about it.

I myself have been trying to raise my ATK/DEF without raising my level for sake of the deathmatch, but it becomes very tedious and somewhat disheartening. I'm not able to enjoy the questing and exploring features of the game because I am stuck training all day.

    Hello,

I have to admit that I don't really like that kind of idea. There are some quests which give you xp boosts in your stats, easily changing base xp in for getting better stats could fastly be abused and it would make things really unbalanced in the game in my point of view. Even now players who trained a lot online complain about monsters not being strong enough and not being a challenge anymore, so if more stats increasing features would be taken into the game, challenges would decrease more which would take more trouble...

Perhaps we should adjust the visible scale of atk/def xp? I think it may not be obvious that atk and def are not designed to stay close to level.

I think one of the biggest problems around stats are that players think, stats have to grow exponentially like the normal xp amount does, at least in the same speed + players often want to hunt for really big creatures and monsters which are definitely not in their level region and they are wondering then, why they can't win but they want so stats are mostly the problems for them...

Maybe it might be nice to have some kind of "introducing stats NPCs" who can explain the system to players (like newbies) around semos city or also in other areas who can guide players a bit better around that, like the weapon-introducing NPCs do in Ados Barracks?

The daily monster task and DM are often the reason players think they should have higher stats. Perhaps these tasks could use stat adjusted level for determining the opponents, a bit like the PvP check does.
