Hi, I'm searching for music files and the results I'm getting are WMA or
Torrents when I want MP3, besides that when I type the name of the artist,
song and hit 'search' I'm not getting any results at all, I don't know if
there's something blocking the results if I get any at all WHY are they only
showing up in WMA or Torrents and not MP3

Are you using the official version of Ares?, these problems seem to appear
when you are using modificated versions of Ares.

Also please tick the box in search called Audio files.

Asking if I'm using the official version of Ares do you mean the latest one -
2.1.7 because there are only old versions and that latest one. I don't know of
any official and modificated versions or at least I don't there is.

Just do the following:

.Remove any version that you have in your system
.Use CCleaner and also make sure that you have an antivirus up to date.

Download a install Ares from this URL:
http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/

See if that fixes the issue, also it's possible that you have any firewall or
the Ares port closed? try to test with canyouseeme.org
