    Hi,

I've have been trying to limit the download and upload speed in the configuration interface, as Ares seems to just go to the top of the available bandwidth if theres no limit. However all my efforts are useless. Ares does not accept my changes to the upload/download speed, and continues using full bandwidth.

For the record - I use Ares executable on Windows XP.

    Any suggestions?

HOW DO YOU DO THE REGISTRY CHANGE FOR THE MAXCONNECTIONSPERSERVER TO 10000 FOR THE DOWNLOADS?

This appears to work for downloads from the Ares network, but the upload limit fails miserably for any torrents I'm downloading. I've set it to 5KB while torrents usually go as high as 40-50KB upload (combined). Even single uploads often go well above the 5KB limit. What's up with this?

I simply edited the registry settings for Ares. I changed my MaxConnectionsPerServer to 10000 and the max downloads in ares to 10000 I get blazing speed!
