In the Archetypes Developers Guide it says SQLStorage is newer than Archetypes itself, and does not appear to be as soundly developed and tested. In email to me, Alan Runyan said that: NOTE: SQLStorage is incredibly inefficient. It works quite well and we have done a project with it (that why it exists). But really it should be rewritten if you are going to use it in a very large scale production environment. I would consider the implementation 'alpha' but stable.
