Apophysis 2.08 3D Hack unable to recognize the plugins directory as in previous version 2.06c 3D hack and 2.08 beta 2.

Discussion

  • I forgot to add, that directories have not changed in the last year that I have been using the program and that the plugins sub-directory is in the same place as it always has been with the spelling in lowercase (e.g., plugins).

I have attempted the spelling in uppercase (e.g., Plugins) and the results are the same.

My understanding of the Apophysis 2.08 3D Hack plugins is that you need to create another folder called "Plugins3D" and put your plugins for 3D Hack into that folder. That way you have two separate folders for the plugins for Apo 2.08b2 (uses Plugins folder) and Apo 2.08 3D Hack (uses Plugins3D folder). I hope this has been helpful.

  • That does it. Thanks for the information, I'll let some of the folk at DA (DeviantArt) know about this.

I'm glad that worked for you. I have not seen this bit of information posted in a lot of places. I found this out on the DA webpage of cmptrwhz, I think, but I couldn't find it again. It would be nice that when they put out a new version that they include any setup information necessary to make it work (folders needed, max number of plugins allowed, etc.) I know it's difficult to write a full manual, but indicating changes that are critical to the running of the program would be helpful.
