is there anyway possible that you would consider
removing the vibrancy limit that was enforced at 2.02...

or is there a chance that i can use the export flame
option with my limit vibrancy script i use, as is, the
current versions of the external renderer do not allow
that script to be used... or something...

To be honest I can't see any way to give you that... It just
*has* to be as it is. All of your old flames can be easily
converted to vibrancy <= 1 operating just gamma and
brightness. And if you want vibrancy > 1, just don't use
flam3 renderer - it cannot handle such flames.

actually, unbless you are exceedingly meticulous, using
brightness and gamma you cannot mimic the old vibrancy
limits... ive not seen it happen yet, and i sat there for 2
    days trying to do it.
