I downloaded the new beta version, but I can't render good pictures with it. I opened a flame created in 2.02, and it renders all grainy (new flames too). The preview window is nice in both version of the program.
It renders like this in 2.02: http://psysoul.hu/2_02.jpg
And in 2.08: http://psysoul.hu/2_08.jpg
Here is the flame file: http://psysoul.hu/da.flame
All rendering settings are the same (quality 200, oversample 2, filter 0.4), however I tried bigger quality, like 2000 and nothing changed. Also tried with hqi, no help. Lowered the gamma/brightness, helped minimal, but not a solution.
Do you have any idea? Thanks.
I found the solution:
I am using an old acdsee for viewing pictures, and it has problems with displaying transparent pngs. The png render was good, when I opened it in photoshop, and placed it on a black background.
1, render flames in jpg or
2, disable png transparency
