I'm running v3.2.3 of gcc as reported by gcc -dumpversion
on solaris.   I have no problems compiling and linking c++
programs.

Subject: [Ant-contrib-developers] g++ linker

I'm fighting the gcc compiler  attempting to compile a straight
executable on Linux  using g++ and *link* with g++.  I noticed that the
GppLinker.java file uses the gcc command, though.  Is there any reason
for this?  I'm using gcc 3.1 and a version out of cvs within the last
week.  If memory serves, gcc used to be able to compile c++ and c files,
but then some gcc poobah changed their mind about that.  Can the 1.0b1
release be adapted, by me, to deal with the hassel created by the series
3 of gcc?

Thanks in advance,
Ben P.
