I extracted and then installed FOI in a friend's windoze box.
When I tried to run it from windoze itself it made a small window and
something happened which I wasn't able to capture.

Then I went to the command prompt (shell) and ran the FOI.bat file and
got the following traceback.

E:\fall_of_imiryn-svn903-win32>fall_of_imiryn.bat

I looked at the above traceback and thought that it might have been
due to some wrong extraction procedure or something like that. Hence
deleted the whole thing and re-extracted the zip file . Went through
the motions and ended up with the same traceback. Can you look at what
the issue might be and fix it for them.

Btw I like the idea that you are using sdl 1.3 . I put up a post on
the same at http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com/2010/05/18/gaming-opengl-and-sdl/

I also tried to put up the issue at the phpbb forum while using my
google openid credentials at
http://apps.sourceforge.net/phpbb/annchienta/ but something prevented
me from doing that.
