The Ongoing Battle

Again, no I'm not dead.

I currently have the dock working (without auto-hide, but otherwise operating as a panel). It handles app launches, adds swooby animation effects for launching and running apps (currently "bounce" and "highlight" work, although "underlay" and "overlay" are also there, but incomplete).

Workspace launcher integrates now with Beryl, and, using dbus, swaps workspaces, although it's not visually where I want it to be yet. The goal is to have a generic interface to the Window Manager, and then custom ones for where it fits.... read more

Status

After some nasty refactoring of both the dock and general plugin handling code, and a brief time with no computer access, I'm back to making progress. :-)

Status Update

Just to keep everyone who's paying attention informed - no, I'm not dead.

I'm currently working on the dock, which is a sizable chunk of code. I've got the basic framework working, though, as well customizable magnification, support for multiple docks and dock sections, and the start of support for non-launcher dock items (like a clock, trash can, etc., etc.).

I'm currently in the middle of doing some refactoring of the dock code, but I'll soon have it working reliably again so I can put up some screenshots.

More Screenshots Added!

I've posted some more screenshots, as well as added them to the main page.

Disk and CPU monitors are working for Linux (but not the various BSDs or other OSes, yet), and rudimentary autostacking is now mostly functional.
