Hallo, looks like my first mail did never make it to the list, so here it is again: I'm trying to compile the cpp part of aminio-cbbs from svn, but it fails due to: ../include/amino/ebstack.h:383:8: error: ‘usleep’ was not declared in this scope ../include/amino/ebstack.h:415:2: error: ‘usleep’ was not declared in this scope etc, the output from make is much longer, but everything is related to usleep. Maybe a missing header? On a sidenote: there is no current stable cpp version, correct? The last one available for download is 0.5.3 and i can't untar the archive: gzip: stdin: not in gzip format tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now |

Hi, I am looking for a lock free thread pool in java and c++. The only thread pool I saw in the current amino development branch is ws_scheduler which uses a blockingdeque, so it signals a condition variable on every added job. This can be avoided in some cases - once a job ends the thread can test if there is another job available in the queue and if so execute it without signaling the condition variable. I can try to write this if you guys are interested. Hagai. |
