Hi,

Currently I have RH9 Linux, Postfix, SpamAssassin and
Amavis, and procmail to route my mail to the correct
folder (Inbox, spam, viruses, etc.

Right now SpamAssassin as a config option mime-
encapsulates the original email as an email attachment
and then creates a "wrapper" email which explains which
rules caused SA to go off AND some sample text from
the email.

Right now Procmail re-writes the Subject to include a a
string "/VIRUS DETECTED/". But I was wondering if
there was a config option in amavis and/or procmail to
wrap a virus-detected email in a safe plaintext email
with an attachment.

Thanks in Advance!!! Cyrus

There isn't, and it isn't planned. In the age of
    mass-mailing worms,
such an option doesn't make sense to me.

In many environments, especially customer support
environments, every piece of mail is required to be examined
before simply deletting it (or have it always redirect it to
    a /dev/null folder).

I wasnt necessarily asking for an amavis feature, although I
think it would make sense and could be more finely tuned like
the SpamAssassin encapsulation where it gives you detailed
info. I basically was wondering if someone cooked up a
procmail script to handle this type of functionality.
