I have an old SBLive, i think it's one of the first models. I'm using alsa-0.9.0beta12, Red Hat Linux 7.2 and one of the updated kernels provided by the distribution (2.4.9-13). Sound is almost ok with ALSA: - XMMS works fine with eSound output plugin - Ogle plays all DVDs just fine, with 5.1 sound - Wolfenstein II demo sounds fine (5.1 etc.) - Real Player plugin in Galeon (Mozilla) is ok The only problem: my audio CD doesn't work. I'm using the digital output on the CD, and one of the S/PDIF inputs on the soundcard. On Windows 2000, this works just fine, i get nice and clean sound from the CD. On Linux, it doesn't work. I played with all controls on the ALSA mixer, but nothing helped. It didn't worked with 0.9.0beta10, and i hoped the upgrade to beta12 will solve the problem. It didn't. :-( I attached to this message the modules.conf and the asound.state files. I also attached the output of lsmod. What can i do to help you fix it? I can run some debug tests, etc., just tell me what i need to do. -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/ |
