Input of a card to output of another

I have a USB video capture card that I'm trying to use on my Linux box.

When a plug the card, the sound part of it is detected as a USB audio device:

    cat /proc/asound/pcm | grep "USB"

    02-00: USB Audio : USB Audio : capture 1

I tried to capture the audio from this device and everything is working ok.

The problem is that when I want just to listen TV (not record) I get no sound at all.

I need in some way connect the input from card 2 to the output of card 0 (my real sound card).

By now, I got this working with the following command:

    sox -t ossdsp -r 8000 -w -c2 /dev/dsp2 -t ossdsp /dev/dsp

This is working for me, but after some time the audio start to lag.

So my question is: Is there a smart way to connect this two sound cards without using sox?
