OpenAL currently does not have a cross platform API for
3D audio. If anyone deserves to be that stardard, it
will be OpenAL++. It does not rely on proprietary
extension such as EAX, and it is platform independent.
It will be for the best of OpenAL to adopt OpenAL++ as
THE stardard API for 3D audio. To make that happen,
OpenAL++ developers must start lobbying, instead of
just letting Creative Labs to dominate the decision
