A friend of mine reports that sharing the root of a drive for example E:\ does not make the remote users able to list the share. Share name shows up a blank space for remote users.
You should not be able to add root of a drives, so ask your friend how did he do that exactly.
Why aren't we alowed to add root of drives ???
I want to share my music which is on a separate partition. I'm not going to add each artist's folder separately it doesn't make any sense !! And creating a sub folder so we can just select it would also be a total nonsense !
Hope this bug will be corrected soon...
by manually editing the settings.xml and adding the root in the <sharedfolder> section :)
While I thinks it's a secutiry issue not to share the root drive, virtualdirectories should be a nice compromise..
Plus with the upcomming group feature it make sense..
