The story so far... Interspersed with many typings of 'make', searches of the mailinglist archives, readings of the Readme's, greppings through the source, downloads of apparently irrelevant zips and bouts of profanity, I have done the following:- Downloaded and unpacked Dev-C++ from the homepage Downloaded and unpacked dx70_min.zip and dxlibs.zip into c:\Dev-C++\i386-... Moved the line 'DECLARE_HANDLE HMONITOR in ddraw.h to where it had a chance to be read Installed DirectX 7 from a CD Downloaded sed 3.02 from a recommended site and put it in c:\Dev-C++\bin Copied the Allegro 3.9.35 directory I used for Djgpp to c:\allegro Gone to that directory in Dos Typed 'fixming' Typed 'fixdll' Typed 'path=c:\dev-c++\bin;c:\windows;c:\command' Typed 'set MINGDIR=c:\dev-c++' Typed 'make' This has got me as far as obj/mingw32/alleg/wddbmp.o(.text+0x14):wddbmp.c: undefined reference to `IID_IDirectDrawSurface2' [etc, etc, etc] dllwrap: gcc exited with status 1 C:\DEV-C_~1\BIN\MAKE.EXE: *** [lib/mingw32/all3935.dll] Error 1 I've run out of ideas; help, please.
