#98895 MySQL database services issue

First Level Support

Barry W Black

I understand that SF has updated to the newer 4.xx
version of mySQL. What happened to the existing 3.xx
DB when the DB server upgrade was processed? I had
attempted to perform a db dumb, but without success
due to permissions issues extending back to when the
project was transferred to me that were eventually
resolved. The membership of my site was in the
hundreds of members, and I have no means of recovering
that membership if the original DB was simply dropped.

Thanks for the db dump, but what was it compressed with,
and with what switches? I have tried both tar and gunzip
    without success.
