I would like to submit my project for hosting on SourceForge.net based on the following information. It is my understanding that the UNIX name I selected is currently in use (either by another active project, a deleted project, or by an "on-hold" project). This Tracker item has been autogenerated by the Project Registration system (https://sourceforge.net/register/) on SourceForge.net.

The settings (priority, assignee, etc.) of this request should not be changed except by SourceForge.net staff. A response to this inquiry should be provided by SourceForge.net staff within 5 business days (the SourceForge.net team works at least Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific, excepting holidays). Should you need to inquire regarding the status of this project takeover request, please add a comment to this Support Request.

    Greetings,

As documented in the project registration pages, you are to
submit a Support Request regarding rejected projects, not a
new project registration. You should submit a new Support
Request at this time, using the 'Get Support' link on the
SourceForge.net website to remediate your rejected project
    registration.

    Thank you,

    Hi there!

The point is, that another person (tuxor_) registered the
unix name. it was rejected for him - but not for me.

i talked to him, that i want to use this name - and as you
can read below, i got his ok.
that`s why it is a takeover in my opinion...

so, should i open another support request?

    sorry, for bugging you ;)

    greets, Nik

X-Project is written in c++, using Irrlicht libarys and sdl.
the c++ sourcecode is object orientated, for easier porting
to other arch`s or operating systems.
the engine for x-project is the irrlicht 3d engine
http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/ which is using opengl and a
    own software render.

    regards, Nik

Please advise: Can you provide some functional details for
    your project?

    Hi again.

Actually we`re still creating the concept and talking about
    details.
The next point is, that i don`t know exactly, what you
expect to write about "functional details".

    regards, Nik

An example of a 'functional description' follows (though I
would expect a more verbose one to be provided):

Tetris is a game whereby a number of various shapes and
sizes of 'blocks' fall from the top of the screen. The goal
is to place the blocks in such a way as to not form voids
and create a line horizontally across the screen, when this
is done, the line is cleared and you earn points. When the
blocks touch the top of the screen you lose. As you get more
points, you progress in levels and the blocks fall faster
    and faster.

I can`t provide that deep information, cause we`re still
    plaing everything. as written before:
basicly, it`s a mixture of first person shooter and strategy
games. the weapons are middle ages ones, the characters are
    fantasy ones.
we don`t have any straight concept or "goal" right now.
we wanted to register this early at sf.net for collecting
sourcecode of the very early beginnings.

    greets, Nik
