How do I get a home dir on the cvs system? I'm unable

the ssh interface will be necessary for me to make
any changes.)

The issue you have encountered is due to your account on the
SourceForge project CVS servers not having a home directory.
Home directories on the project CVS servers are generated
automatically when you SSH to cvs.sourceforge.net. We ask that
each user who wishes to use CVS services do this once, so as to
establish their home directory on the CVS servers.

When you SSH to cvs.sourceforge.net, the server will permit
login, create your home directory, and log you out
automatically. It should be noted that the CVS servers are not
the same machines as the shell servers; you will need to SSH to
cvs.sourceforge.net even if you have used your shell account in
the past. Should you have further questions or concerns
regarding this matter, please re-open this support request and
    add a comment.

    Command: ssh username@cvs.sourceforge.net

    Thank you,
