#132121 Hosted App: mediawiki default group permissions

We're trying to use the mediawiki hosted app. A SF user can log into the the mediawiki, but cannot edit/create pages.

If i check the default groups for that user, they don't seem to have any group rights. The two options to enable are admin and editor.

For each user that requires write access, i have to get them to login (for there username to show on userlist) then edit the group permissions one by one.

How is it possible for all sf members that log into the mediawiki on our project be granted some default write access? (not admin or editor, but something like users+)

We would like to assume all SF members are good people, and ban only those that abuse (if any)

  • Hi Dspam,

    You need to add the user in MediaWiki, assuming that they are already a member of the project. I have a project and a different user for myself. On my project with MediaWiki
    enabled, my other use is able to log in, and edit pages in MediaWiki. Once my other user logs in and goes to the app, I have to log in for the app using that username.

    You need to add the users via the Special Pages section (See the "Toolbox in the lower left section of the page) and set their abilities / roles.
