Hello,

I'd like to migrate an existing mediawiki to use the hosted mediawiki supported by sourceforge. To use the Import feature I would need to belong to the sysop group. Additionally, I would like to protect certain key pages, which also requires sysop privileges.

The administrative tools do not seem to allow me to add my account to the sysop group. Help?

My sourceforge id is Sjfink. The project is wala. I am the owner of the wala project.

Thanks,

Stephen Fink

This is a very real issue. When you create a wiki, you are bound to either make an occasional typo in the page title or simply change your mind on the wiki's architecture. And then you have to delete the pages you no longer need. Without sysop powers, you can't do that and your wiki becomes a mess. Next, there is the matter of protecting some pages and the import mentioned here. Thanks for considering it a priority.
