Sorry for the late followup. My notebook broke and it took me a moment to 
get a new one (Acer Ferrari :) ) and re-install everything.

The problem this patch was supposed to address does not occur on my new 
notebook anymore. Go figure...

As for the taskbar butons, that's "Taskbar V2":

I highly recoomend it.
