Subject: Akregator, <skipDays>, <skipHours>
first off, please let me apologize for writing to you
directly, but your address was the one I found in the
README file. My first meta-request would therefore be
a _mail_ address one can submit bugs to, one that
doesn't require registration, HTTP, or cookies.
Okay, here's the actual request - or rather bug report:
Unless I completely misread the source code (and my uttlerly
clogged log files), even though librss/document.cpp does
process <skipDays> and <skipHours>, Akregator does not seem
to honor these fields at all, which causes all the problems
outlined in your documentation wiki:
| Note that fetching of articles generates traffic and thus
| costs for the provider hosting the feed you're reading.
| Some sites may even block you, if you fetch the feed file
| too often. In general, 30 minutes is a good choice.
I'd appreciate it if the Akregator developers
did something about this problem.
keep in touch. berkus.
