#2 make failing with cannot find -lesd

Hello,
Airsnort-0.2.1 configured OK but the make failed with a
cannot find -lesd error. I'm running Suse Linux v8.
The output from the make is below:

    You are missing a required sound library, libesd. The cvs
    version should not require the sound library. Either
    download the cvs version, or install the required library.

    under SUSE 8.0, it is the esound package that needs to be
    installed.
