I have build Airsnort under Fedora Project Core1, I am
using a Cisco 352 radio card.
When I run AS, I see my card eth0, and choose its type
as other, it warns me to manually select monitor mode.
I tried the suggestion for setting Mode: r and Mode: Y,
these commands do not seem to appear in my Config file
for the Cisco card, would I expect to see anything
added after this command - I thought so? I also tried to
use emacs to edit the file and add the manual mode
commands, but could not effect the changes.
When I start AS, it just sits there, responsive, but does
not display any traffic, even though there is a
broadcasting, unsecured AP a few feet away.
I am probably doing something really stupid!
Sorry I only installed Linux two days ago, and this is my
first exposure to both it and Airsnort.
Hope you can give me some pointers?
