I suspect (but don't know) that they are |the same as are used in the WGB350s since the interface is very |similar (unlike the BR350s). I think the BR340 existed before the 350 series radio ever came into being. The whole thing is a little confusing. The original 4800 series radio did 100mW, but (supposedly) could not do WEP at 11Mb/s. The 4800B (which became the 340) could do fast WEP but was only ~35mW. The BR340 seems to be pretty much the same as the original BR500 which in turn seemed to differ only by an eeprom cookie from the AP4800. The latter still can't do fast WEP while the 4800B access points (aka AP340) can do WEP but are again limited to 35mW. If it was really an issue with the radio card there must be something very special in a BR340. On the other hand, maybe the limitations were artificial to begin with... Dan Lanciani ddl@danlan.*com |
