I and some colleagues have an interest in using
InterTrans and TreeTrans to interlinearize vernacular
texts and to mark them up syntactically.
I'm having trouble with InterTrans though. First, if
the text contains non-ASCII characters, in particular a
slash-O (HTML Ø), InterTrans saves the file as
non-well-formed XML (the close-tag following the
slash-O is missing its initial '<'). This may be
related to the problems regarding Swedish characters in
TableTrans; maybe they will be fixed when InterTrans
comes out in a version that uses aglib 2.0?

In any case, I wanted to report a bug that occurs even
with fully-ASCII text.
When I try to Open the attached interlinear text file,
I get the following error messages:

Error: 1
RuntimeError Exception in Tk callback
Function: <method agInterTrans.loadAIFFile of
agInterTrans instance at 00E1D6DC> (type: <type
'instance method'>)

Any prospects of a new (non-beta) version of InterTrans
coming out soon?

Thanks,
Lars
