I have been doing some work on the Iranian localisation of Adempiere.
For now, I have a working Iranian chart of accounts and 60+% of the translation.
Please find the files here: http://bahmanm.com/adempiere/
I have also created tickets for CoA and Trl: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3494720&group_id=176962&atid=883808
and https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3493929&group_id=176962&atid=883808 and I'd like to ask for the inclusion of these files in the main source tree so that others can work on them too.
Please let me know if anything is missing. TIA,
omid

Hi Bahman,
it is great news!
As I told you on the IRC, you have nowadays to put your FRs in Jira.
You should build up your team for the Iranian localization, ask the Technical team for a branch and development rights, do your development+tests on this branch and when you are done, ask the technical team for inclusion in the next release.
There is a Brazilian and a Colombian localization already.
You must know Mercurial (hg), as ADempiere is not done anymore with SVN. I agree completetly with Trifon that it is more complicated than SVN, but Mercurial is safer and more flexible.
Best regards,
Mario Calderon

@Omid: Sure. That would be great. BTW, do you know any other Iranians who may wish to contribute to the localisation?
@Mario: Once again thanks for the info. I was away for so long that I even don't know the basics now.

Hi,
not yet but to start Iran localization i can invite others to participate
can we not stick to svn ?
PS : AFAIK neither you nor me don't know anything about mercurial :D

Hi omidp,
if you manage to do a localization, you will manage also to use Mercurial.
There are people who I am sure will help you if you have a problem.
Mercurial is the way to go; otherwise you will have problems when integrating to Adempiere.
Best regards,
Mario Calderon
