I have just made a Debian package of the acx100/111 driver. I am now
wanted to also distribute the firmware in a Debian package, if possible,
so that the users can get their card working very easily.
First of all, I wanted to know if there is a lot of different firmwares.
In short, are all the cards with the same chipset using the same
firmware, or does the card manufacturers make some modifications of the
Then does anybody know a place where to get a firmware with a license
that permits the redistribution of that firmware? It is not the case of
the firmware I get on the CD given with my card. If not, I can try to
contact Texas Instrument.
BTW, thanks for writting such a driver. I am using it on a TEW423-PI
card (ACX111 chipset), and it is working very well.

In a private mail, I said on Oct. 21 that I will try to find out whether it
might be possible to redistribute it (OpenBSD!).
Haven't done so yet, though...
BTW: you probably want to configure the package to use ACX_IO_WIDTH=16 ...
