This also effects all Sony Vaio Athlon laptops. Each laptop has a VIA KT133 chipset with ATI Rage Mobility P/M AGP (crappy Mach64 video). Whenever we poll the ACPI battery info with a kernel with USB enabled, it kills the keyboard within X. If it is done in console mode, subsequent starting of X fails. Removing USB from the kernel altogether fixes the issue though. |
