Dear sir, not to mean sound too negative here, but absolutely NOBODY on *ACPI*-list cares about *MANDRAKE* kernel problems. I can guarantee you the patches are not tested, thus not supported on anything other than plain vanilla kernels from kernel.org. If you want to run some oddball shit and it kills your system, thats entirely up to you.
