I think David was wrong, I have Python 2.2 and it has the same problem on FreeBSD. I have noticed that bugs in libraries tend to take a loooong time to get fixed. I send in a problem with the ~/.netrc parsing a long time ago (with a suggestion for a fix) and it still didn't get fixed. -- Q: What do you call a fish without an eye? A: fsh!
